VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (CAVES) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager to join our leadership team in beautiful Concord, New Hampshire. This is a rare opportunity to help lead a thriving 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital committed to delivering exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and a positive, supportive environment for our veterinary team.
As the Hospital Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational and business leadership of the hospital. You’ll work closely with our Medical Director to support a high-performing culture (70+ associates), ensuring smooth hospital operations, financial health, and an environment that fosters trust, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Oversee daily hospital operations and workflow efficiency
Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of veterinary technicians, assistants, receptionists, and supervisors
Partner with the Medical Director to support medical team needs and collaboration
Manage financial performance, budgeting, payroll, and inventory
Maintain high standards of client service and patient care
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and VCA guidelines
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
3+ years of leadership or management experience (veterinary or medical field preferred)
Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to analyze financial data and support business goals
Comfort in a fast-paced, high-acuity veterinary hospital setting
A leader who is compassionate, organized, solutions-focused, and team-oriented
Work with a highly skilled emergency and specialty team, including surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, emergency & critical care, and more
