You’ll be joining a team of business development experts who work across the branch network, mobile banking, premier banking and private banking channels.
The Opportunity
As a Partnership Manager, you will work within a team of professionals responsible for generating high-quality home lending opportunities. You will create new business opportunities by establishing and managing partnerships with accredited third‑party referral sources.
A successful Partnership Manager demonstrates a proven ability to source, establish and manage strong B2B relationships with external business partners.
This role plays an integral part in identifying, nurturing and developing our business, while driving an operational culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
More specifically, your primary responsibilities will include:
Business Development Excellence by role modelling effective business development techniques and establishing high‑quality, mutually beneficial partnerships with reputable external businesses within the Real Estate, Accounting and Conveyancing industries.
Meeting prospective referral sources by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your professional network.
Identifying potential referral sources and the key decision‑makers within their organisations.
Collaborating with the wider team to develop proposals that address referral source needs, concerns and objectives.
Presenting a professional image that reflects both the referral source and CommBank brand.
Tracking and recording account activity and supporting deal closure to ensure targets are achieved.
Stakeholder Management through developing and maintaining strong relationships with Lenders and their Managers across Private, Premier, Mobile and Branch customer segments.
Risk Management by assessing and identifying potential risks that may impact the reputation, safety, security and financial prosperity of the bank.
About You
We are looking for applicants with:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Business Development Manager role.
Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic business partners, creating mutually beneficial outcomes.
A proven ability to source, establish and manage external partnerships that drive high volumes of business outcomes.
Strong technology skills, with the ability to navigate and apply banking systems.
The ability to build rapport and trust with external partners.
A passionate and driven client focus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a sales role with diversified product or service offerings, ideally within home lending.
Sound research and strategic analysis capabilities.
