At Elara Caring, our part-time Speech-Language Pathologists provide essential therapy services that help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing—right in the comfort of their own homes. This two-day-per-week role is perfect for clinicians seeking flexibility, work-life balance, or a supplemental schedule while staying engaged in meaningful patient care.
As a Part-Time Home Health SLP, you’ll deliver individualized therapy in patients’ homes, focusing on measurable outcomes and meaningful improvements in daily living. You’ll maintain a predictable two-day schedule, giving you the freedom to balance work with other priorities while making a lasting impact.
Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing abilities in-home
Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans aligned with therapy goals
Deliver hands-on therapy to improve communication, cognition, and functional abilities
Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment strategies as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs to reinforce therapy goals
Document clinical findings, treatments, and progress accurately and promptly
Support continuity of care and help prevent avoidable hospitalizations
Predictable, consistent two-day-per-week schedule
Flexible scheduling within your service area
One-on-one patient care in a home setting
Strong clinical support and interdisciplinary collaboration
Stay engaged clinically without a full-time workload
Perfect for clinicians balancing multiple roles or seeking supplemental hours
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active state SLP license (or Educational Limited License with supervision)
Minimum one year of clinical experience; home health or hospice experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to travel within the assigned territory
