Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Home Health Aide.

Overview:

Home Health Aides will perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding, intake/output, ambulation, and assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home.

Anticipated Status/Shift:

Full Time (40 hours/week)

Position Location:

Sentara Hospice Services - Chesapeake, VA

Pay Range: $15.75 - $20.46 / hour

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Education

• No specific education requirements

Certification/Licensure

• CNA (Required)

• First Aid Basics Certification (Required)

• BLS (Required within 90 days of hire)

Experience

• Previous Customer Service Experience (Required)

• Basic and routine patient care (Preferred)

• Personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding (Preferred)

• Intake/output (Preferred)

• Ambulation (Preferred)

• Assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home (Preferred)
