  • Home Building Team Member For DRYWALL

We are currently only hiring experienced team members that know how to mud, tape, & texture in Drywall.

When production picks up we will start hiring for more departments. Until then it is just for this position in Drywall.

Department: Production
Work Schedule: Weekdays, First Shift 7:00-3:30
Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly


Position Summary: The Home Building Team Members perform the manufacturing production operations assigned to each department in the home building process. The position follows standard production methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Job Expectations:
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and adaptability. Must be able to work with a team and solo. Focus on quality but still at a fast pace.

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Daily working conditions: include overhead work, working in tight spaces, keeping up with a good pace, repetitive work, working in wet conditions where it can be slippery

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, steel-toe footwear, ear protection, and safety glasses must be always worn.

  • The production facility experiences noise and dust. Temperature conditions can be warm and humid during summer months despite cooling systems; winter conditions are generally mild. Appropriate attire for varying temperatures is expected.

  • The position can be physically and mentally demanding, with tasks involving repetitive motion, bending, twisting, overhead work and ladder climbing.

  • Consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential.

  • A positive attitude and cooperative spirit are necessary to contribute effectively as part of a team. Hungry, Humble, People Smart!

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES IN DRYWALL:

Mudding – Mudding the seams between sheetrock

Taping – use mesh tape between joints

Texture – Spray Texture on Walls and Ceilings

Sanding Touch-up any flaws

Spraying using the texture spray

Bag off house (hanging plastic)

Caulking Wall to Ceiling

Putting or putting coat of mud on screws

Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.  

Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.

Serve as a good steward for our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.  

Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.  

Perform other duties assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling & overhead work

  • Must be able to communicate with team members from your department and other departments, as well as Department Managers and other Managers as needed.

  • Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary

  • Clear and effective communication.

  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired

  • Strong work ethic

  • Reliable Ideal Team Player: Humble, Hungry and People Smart

  • Demonstrate continuous willingness to learn and grow within the department

  • Demonstrate honesty in all situations to cultivate an environment of trust
