Home-Based Jr. Web Developer

The DCX Client Services - Home Based Systems and Web Developer will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Jr. Web Developer to support the setup, maintenance, and ongoing management of promotional product websites. This position involves adding products, uploading images, creating landing pages, and handling general e-commerce program setup tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web design, along with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Role Details 

• Industry: Promotions 

• Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (USA) 

• Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA) 

• Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient 

• Salary Range: 50,000 

Job Responsibilities 

• Assist in the setup and configuration of promotional product websites on our e-commerce platforms.

• Add and update product listings, including descriptions, pricing, images, categories, and variants.

• Create and style landing pages using HTML and CSS within platform templates.

• Optimize product images and content for web performance and visual appeal.

• · Ensure consistent branding, formatting, and functionality across all program websites.

• Coordinate with the Director of E-Commerce and internal teams to meet project timelines.

• Perform quality control checks for accuracy, functionality, and layout across desktop and mobile.

• Support additional program-related e-commerce tasks, including updating banners, managing promotions, and testing checkout workflows.

• Assist with troubleshooting layout or formatting issues.

• Maintain organized documentation of site updates and workflows.

Additional Job Requirements 

• Education: College degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field.  

• Experience: 1-3 years of Web Development, Computer Programming, or any related roles. 

• Proven work experience in website development and web administration. 

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS (ability to edit and style existing templates).

• Basic understanding of web design principles (layout, spacing, typography, responsive design).

• Experience working with e-commerce platforms (knowledge of systems like WebJaguar, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar preferred).

• Ability to optimize and upload product images in web-ready formats.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Basic understanding of SEO best practices for product listings (a plus).

• Comfortable following written SOPs and communicating project progress clearly in English.

• Familiarity with the promotional products industry or catalog-style websites is a plus.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Experience with JavaScript or basic jQuery for front-end adjustments.

• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) or site builders.

• Understanding of image editing tools (Photoshop, Canva, or similar).

• Familiarity with data entry for product feeds (CSV imports, SKU mapping, etc.).

• Prior experience supporting U.S.-based clients or teams remotely.
