Minimum Qualification:
Bachelors degree in biological science or chemistry, OR a baccalaureate degree with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the baccalaureate degree
ASCP HTL certification must be obtained within one year of employment or within one year after completion of eligibility. Eligibility criteria is as follows: successful completion of NACCL accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program within the last five years OR completion of 12 consecutive months of full time on the job training in a histopathology laboratory within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of anatomic pathology experience
Professional License/Certification (Certified by ASCP or equivalent).
Experience in a hospital setting.
EPIC training

Job Requirements:
Decedent receiving, documentation review, and release of decedents.
Ensuring proper handling and processing of all specimens received in the lab, including but not limited to, patient identification, specimen protocol triage, specimen and lab troubleshooting, grossing, embedding, frozen sections, etc.
Provides histological duties as coverage in the Histology lab.
Perform other duties as needed.
