We’re seeking an SAP CPI Developer (5–8 years’ experience) to join our Partner Integrations team and build API‑first integrations on SAP Integration Suite (CPI). The ideal candidate combines deep CPI and SAP BTP expertise with hands‑on exposure to SAP’s AI offerings (e.g., Business AI/Joule, AI Core/Launchpad) to deliver practical, production‑ready use cases. Experience with EDI standards (X12/EDIFACT) and supply‑chain integrations in highly regulated industries is strongly preferred. Job Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned SAP CPI Developer (5–8 years) to strengthen our internal Partner & Enterprise Integrations capability. This role focuses on building and running API‑first integrations on SAP Integration Suite (CPI), leveraging SAP BTP and emerging SAP Business AI capabilities to support scalable, secure business integrations.

Responsibilities:

    Integration Expertise (API-first): 5–8 years designing, building, and operating integrations on SAP Integration Suite (CPI) with a strong emphasis on REST/JSON APIs, SAP API Management, OAuth 2.0, and secure connectivity patterns across partner ecosystems.
  • SAP BTP & AI Offerings: Hands-on experience leveraging SAP Business AI/Joule, AI Core/AI Launchpad, or related BTP AI services to design and deliver practical AI-assisted use cases (e.g., automated mapping, anomaly detection, test data generation) specifically for CPI-based integrations.
  • Use‑Case Development: Proven ability to identify opportunities with business/partner teams and translate them into CPI/BTP solutions and AI‑enabled prototypes; comfortable iterating PoCs into production-grade flows.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CPI constructs (iFlows, Content Modifier, Router, Groovy scripting, value mappings), event-driven patterns (Event Mesh), Open Connectors, and common adapters (OData, IDoc, SFTP, SOAP/REST).
  • Quality, Observability & Performance: Experience with monitoring and error handling in CPI, log/trace analysis, resiliency patterns (retry, circuit breaking), and performance tuning for high‑volume partner APIs.
  • Security & Compliance: Applies least‑privilege, secrets management, certificate/keystore handling, and data protection standards throughout integration lifecycles.
  • DevOps & Testing: Familiar with CI/CD for CPI/BTP artifacts, automated testing (unit, contract, integration), and versioning/transport across dev/QA/prod tenants.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong cross‑functional partnering with product, security, and external partner engineers; clear documentation of interfaces, SLAs, runbooks, and support procedures.
  • Problem Solver & Self‑Starter: Demonstrated ownership from discovery through production support; proactively removes blockers, proposes improvements, and drives outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Teamwork & Positive Attitude: Values inclusion, knowledge‑sharing, and mentoring; brings a constructive, customer‑centric mindset to daily standups, reviews, and incident response.
