You will join the test center domain in the engineering organization and you will be part of an integrated team having the global view on test means definition and installation.
For its new development and major modifications, AIRBUS performs ground test to verify and validate the design before certification. Test means community is one of the Airbus Engineering domain with a global approach (specify, design, build).
The team is in charge of test means for flights & grounds activities in Toulouse.
In this position, you will be in charge of managing the mechanical manufacturing of our benches. The 2 main objectives are to steer different existing suppliers & to deliver the mechanical hardware needed to perform tests.
For sure you will be in constant interaction with all test community (Design, Program, Test Specialist, Architects, Functional elec, …)
You will be responsible to:
Perform Long Leadtime Item pre-purchasing
Specify the mechanical parts and/or assemblies to be manufactured and request quotes from suppliers
Once the supplier selectionned, order specified parts and/or assemblies via Click & Buy
Follow & Measure the manufacturing and assembly progress
Follow & ensure answering to Non-conformities recorded by the supplier
Once Parts and/or Assemblies delivered (before if needed), ensure that all products are conforms to the specification and perform good receipt
Store in appropriate way all products delivered by the supplier
Ensure the good level of logistic quality
Deliver Products on Time, Cost and Quality required to Cabling and/or Integration Owner
Follow financial activities to ensure consistency with the budget received
Be the workpackage Leader for Subcontracted Manufacturing Activities (KPI, PRM, Contract…)
Identify & Alert production supplier overload/underload
Required skills
- You are familiar with mechanical design.
- Experience in Manufacturing processes is part of your background
- You have good experience in supplier management (Min 5 years) and able to move from a subject to another keeping a good team spirit.
- You are autonomous, curious and proactive.
- You are open minded and synthetic with capability to step back from activities and propose new ideas.
- You are agile & able to find quick solutions to unlock technical blocking points.
- Knowledge in the Lab Test Means environment would be appreciated (not mandatory)
