As a Painter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our heavy equipment maintains its quality and appearance. Your expertise in preparing, detailing, and painting heavy machinery will be vital in enhancing product reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

  • Execute high-quality painting duties for heavy equipment, ensuring a polished and professional finish.

  • Thoroughly prepare surfaces, including detailing and sanding, to ensure optimal paint adhesion.

  • Maintain and oversee the upkeep of the spray booth, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the timely completion of painting projects while maintaining quality standards

  • Sandblasting

Specific Skills & Experience:

  • Possess an approved training certificate in painting or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience with air-assisted spray systems and pressure pots

  • Previous experience working with heavy equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, enabling you to understand and address equipment-related issues effectively.

  • Ability to work safely and independently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration within the team.

  • Organizational skills to manage painting projects efficiently and ensure timely completion.

  • Forklift experience and certification are considered assets

Important Details:

  • This position is based out of Kamloops, on a 7x7 continuous shift

  • A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respiration where applicable.

Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
