A Healthtech Consultant is more than an Epic expert. Our consultants take ownership of their work and play a meaningful role in the success of our clients and our organization. We are seeking people who listen carefully, partner closely with clients, and recognize that every project and healthcare organization is unique. You will work on complex, high-impact initiatives that help healthcare organizations improve how they deliver care. Experience implementing Epic is required; experience supporting Connect or optimization initiatives is considered a strong asset.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· At least three years of Epic implementation or support experience
· At least one current Epic certification (multiple certifications preferred)
Role Overview
The Healthtech Consultant provides consulting services to clients on Epic-related projects in an analyst, project management, project leadership, or training capacity. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client engagement, and collaborative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver Epic-related consulting and administrative computer services for Healthtech clients.
· Apply technical expertise to client system builds to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
· Mentor and support client project teams, as required, on project approach and system build strategy.
· Identify, track, and document project risks and issues.
· Analyze, document, and optimize clinical and operational workflows.
· Collaborate closely with project leadership through documentation, facilitation, and status reporting.
· Work directly with Epic end users to monitor workflows, provide clear documentation, and recommend optimization opportunities.
· Lead meetings related to project status, deliverables, and ongoing coordination of work products.
· Perform additional project-specific duties as outlined in the client’s statement of work.
· Represent the company at corporate or client-related functions, as appropriate, to support relationship-building and professional networking.
Skills and Experience
· At least one Epic certification is required; multiple certifications are preferred.
· Previous experience in project management or project coordination is an asset.
· Training-focused roles may not always require Epic certification.
· For project management or leadership-focused roles, PMP certification is strongly preferred.
· A minimum of two years of Epic work experience following certification.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
· Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
· Self-motivated, with the ability to manage schedules, meet deadlines, and independently monitor work quality.
· Highly adaptable, with the ability to quickly adjust to new project environments, including new work settings and client organizations; diverse teams and stakeholders; client workplace policies and regulations; changing travel and living arrangements based on project location
· Demonstrated ability and interest in mentoring and supporting the development of others.
· A strong work ethic, with a commitment to respect, accountability, ethical behaviour, and organizational values.
· A consistently high degree of professionalism.
