Healthcare Systems Implementation Project Manager - RSM National Healthcare Consulting

RSM’s National Healthcare Consulting practice is seeking a Healthcare Systems Implementation Project Manager to lead and deliver complex healthcare IT implementations for provider organizations and related entities. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the system implementation lifecycle, including requirements definition, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

As a member of RSM’s National Healthcare Consulting practice, you will work alongside experienced professionals with deep expertise across healthcare technology implementations, revenue cycle operations, clinical systems integration, and healthcare IT strategy.

This is a client-facing leadership role that combines hands-on project delivery with consulting, stakeholder management, and contribution to the growth of RSM’s healthcare practice.

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead mid-to-large-scale healthcare technology implementation projects for healthcare providers and related organizations
  • Manage projects to successful completion on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts; monitor and report progress
  • Manage scope, schedule, and cost changes using established change-control and governance processes
  • Measure and report project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues; escalate as appropriate

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage expectations of senior client leadership and secure alignment and buy-in
  • Coordinate and manage internal teams, vendors, and client resources
  • Mentor project team members on delivery approach and system build strategy
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners

Healthcare Technology & Consulting

  • Support implementation of healthcare platforms focusing on Solventum 360 Revenue Cycle solutions
  • Apply working knowledge of provider healthcare system architecture and ecosystem
  • Coordinate technical, operational, and training activities to optimize system utilization
  • Resolve complex business and system integration challenges

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, or related field or experience implementing healthcare technology projects at healthcare provider organizations
  • 5+ years of experience delivering healthcare systems implementations
  • Direct experience implementing software solutions within a healthcare environment
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with leading EHR platforms
  • Healthcare revenue cycle technology experience
  • Experience with Solventum (3M) solutions such as 360 Encompass or Engage One
  • Exposure to AI applications within healthcare
  • PMP certification
