As a Healthcare Data Analyst II, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, compiling, and presenting data to address business inquiries and resolve organizational challenges. Your work will encompass a broad spectrum of healthcare-reported data, including claims, clinical records, pharmacy information, laboratory results, healthcare costs, utilization metrics, management data, and clinical research findings. Utilizing statistical and mathematical methodologies, you will develop diverse analyses, convert data into meaningful visualizations to facilitate informed decision-making, and generate operational reports as well as trend analyses through both conventional and programmatic approaches.
This is a hybrid role located on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
What you’ll do:
Design, develop, and implement operational reporting and trend analysis for internal and external customers.
Collect, validate, and maintain data from internal and external sources.
Analyze data sets as appropriate for reporting and analytics using Excel, business intelligence tools, SAS, and Python.
Provide routine and ad hoc data reports and models for management using visualization and statistics to understand and solve business problems.
Troubleshoot issues as they arise and solve problems independently or collaboratively with other teammates.
Perform thorough review of data products and processes for content and accuracy and identify associated problems.
Work with stakeholders and teams to understand business questions and problems and to scope data and reporting requests.
Prepare documentation on all projects to enable peer review and ensure continuity of data product quality.
What you’ll bring:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Information Management, Economics, or similar quantitative area or the equivalent of (4) years of work experience in field.
(2) years of experience in applying quantitative analytics tools, methods, and processes.
Previous experience provides strong working knowledge of health insurance industry, processes, and data requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
VBA or SQL scripting skills.
Experience in data reporting and database design.
Experience producing operational reporting with analytics.
Experience creating and maintaining product reports based on analytic techniques.
Experience using software such as Microsoft Excel, SAS, or other analytical software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong reporting skills and ability to identify trends in business data.
Able to present analytical findings to non-technical audiences and effectively address questions pertaining to those findings.
Ability to use analytical methods to identify and troubleshoot errors and issues in work product and common datasets.
Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Good planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical methods.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding and billing, claims processing procedures and considerations, and clinical data and data requirements.
Knowledge of data requirements associated with PPI.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.
National Plus Salary Range:
$80,200.00 - $130,200.00*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
