Healthcare Data Analyst

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Healthcare Data Analyst. In this fully remote role on our Provider Consultation & Analytics team, you’ll provide analysis needed to support the business in making decisions related to healthcare costs and quality improvement.

Ideal candidates for this role will be driven, analytical thinkers and bring:

• Experience with healthcare data and/or the health insurance industry

• Proficiency coding in SQL and/or Python

• Experience with Tableau

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the corporation to support department, division and BCBST corporate goals and objectives
• Work with team leaders to organize and execute multiple projects in an accurate and timely manner
• Under supervision, gain business domain knowledge and adjust communication style to relate results to various types of business owners across the company
• Under supervision, develop metrics, execute research designs and reports using business rules and requirements provided by business owners

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) OR Master's Degree with no work experience

Experience

• 2 years - Experience in analytics, reporting and data utilizing industry-standard tools

Skills\Certifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of basic statistics and algebra required
