Your Next Career Opportunity – Health and Safety Technician II, International

With direction from Manager, administer the company's health and safety program and provide feedback to the local operations director for SBA in the selected market.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Manager in developing safety programs with country’s operations and management to ensure compliance with SBA safety programs.
  • Inform Manager of issues related to health & safety compliance.
  • Communicate safety regulations including Country, State, Company, and Client procedures.
  • Assist with safety training for Employees, Clients, and Contractors.
  • Perform detailed jobsite safety and property inspections as specified by SBA Health &Safety program.
  • Assist with coordinating and documenting incident response in accordance with Incident Action Plan.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of safety equipment for SBA Employees.
  • Collect, analyze, and provide metrics related to risk management performance.
  • Successfully perform duties in a remote and unsupervised position through proactive communication and involvement with Manager and senior management.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

(All Other Countries):

  • Associate’s Degree Health and Safety or related field and 3 - 5 years relevant experience.  Intermediate administrative support and mailroom experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications or construction industry preferred.
  • Climbing experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft office Suite Software.
  • In Country Travel 60% of time Must be able to travel extensively via ground and/or air transportation.
  • Out of Country Travel 20% of the time Must be able to travel via ground and/or air transportation.
  • Valid Government issued Driver’s license.
  • Valid Government Issued Passport.

(Tanzania):

  • Associate’s Degree Health and Safety or related field and 3 - 5 years relevant experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications or construction industry preferred.
  • Climbing experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft office Suite Software.
  • In Country Travel 50% of time Must be able to travel extensively via ground and/or air transportation.
  • Out of Country Travel 10% of the time Must be able to travel via ground and/or air transportation.
  • Valid Government issued Driver’s license.
  • Valid Government Issued Passport.
  • Language requirements: English required, Swahili preferred.
