The role

We are looking for Health and Safety Specialist for a water irrigation project based in Balochistan, Pakistan. The candidate must have experience in health and safety management, particularly in similar projects, to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors are aware of and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Work closely with project management, contractors, and local authorities to ensure a cohesive approach to health and safety on the project.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training programs for project personnel, ensuring that all staff are adequately informed and equipped to work safely.
  • Perform risk assessments for all project phases, developing strategies to address potential hazards, including environmental risks.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc/BE in Environmental Engineering)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health and safety management, with a focus on water irrigation or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
