Job Overview
The Health Promoter is responsible for providing patients with educational services, which include outreach, conducting assessments, and coordinating activities. The Promoter documents services in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and provides training and support to other (non-clinical staff). In addition, the Promoter’s assignments vary depending on the department and/or clinic site.
Minimum Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience directly working in the health care field or a community outreach setting.
Experience working with EMR and EPM is required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) or another secondary language is required due to the population being served.
A Medical Assistant diploma is strongly preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Compensation
