Job Description

About the Position: Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.

Job Type/Salary:

  • One (1) Vacancy

  • Primary Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of eligibility for accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT); or two years of experience working with patient records in a medical setting such as a hospital, state institution, medical clinic or a physician’s office.​​​​​​​

Special Requirements: Based upon the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position being filled, a user agency may require accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Technician (RHIT); or eligibility for registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

Some agencies may have determined positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8.

About us: Operated by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) is a fully accredited 15-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic.  Other CACMHC offices located in Southeastern Oklahoma are—Holdenville Satellite, Heavener Satellite, Hugo Satellite, Idabel Satellite, Stigler Satellite, Atoka Satellite and Ada PACT.
