Job Title: Health Information Management Tech

Location: St. Mary's Hospital
As a “Health Information Management Tech” you will:
- In collaboration with others, monitors and audits EHR documentation.
- Reviews records as scheduled or on ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation
- As directed, performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breeches related to EHR access
- Selects appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity
- In collaboration with others, monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.
- Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures.
- Knowledge of data analysis concepts.
- Experience with Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.

**0.4 FTE (16 hours weekly) up to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly)
