  • Paid Internship
  • Hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to be on site 50% of the month in Little Island, Cork and 50% working remotely.
  • During this time, you will be a member of the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Cork team as an economic modelling analyst, working specifically in support of our Cardio-Metabolic-Health assets. 
  • You will work closely with other economic modelling analysts in GBS Cork and Lilly Bengaluru, India; as well as the affiliates (countries) these team’s support.

Purpose of team and Role

  • The purpose of the economic modelling analyst role is to work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to develop Health Technology Assessment (HTA)-related deliverables. 

Responsibilities:

Model Adaptations

  • Adapt global health economic models such as cost-effectiveness models (CEA/CUA), budget impact models (BIM), and other economic evaluations (e.g., cost-minimization, cost-consequence) to local settings, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of local health technology assessment (HTA) bodies or payers. This includes adjusting parameters, costs, and clinical inputs to reflect local practices and data.
  • Perform thorough quality checks to verify the accuracy of data incorporated into the economic model. 
  • Gather and integrate feedback from team members and update the economic model accordingly. 
  • Demonstrate adaptability by efficiently transitioning between the development and preparation of various document types. 
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports that clearly present the objectives, analyses, results, key findings, and conclusions.
  • Work with teams to ensure smooth and timely development of economic model and the report.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that the health economic models meet their needs. 
  • Maintain continuous, open, and consistent communication with stakeholders.  
  • Establish key relationships with the stakeholder

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of a Masters program
