POSITION SUMMARY:

In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation, the Health Club Instructor is responsible for the day to day operation of the sections he / she is assigned to within the Health Club Department.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identifies return guests and VIPs.

2. Opens and closes the Health Club reception desk as per established checklists and standard.

3.Upsells to maximize sales and revenue.

4. Registers and provides warm welcome and bids farewell as guests enters and exits the Health Club.

5. Attends to guests’ concerns and requests courteously. 6.Ensures the maintenance of the Health Club areas, including the changing facilities, are according to Company standards. This includes cleaning equipment, restocking, tidying, and clearing area of used towels and other wastes.

7. Administers inventories tracking and controls of all retail and loan items.

8. Provides assistance with towels, lockers, and hotel amenities.

9. Ensures that each contact session is a delightful experience to the guest while ensuring of their safety.

10. Ensures that guests of the Health Club and Pool follows the rules and safety regulations stipulated by the Company and laws of the country and the city.

11. Under no circumstances solicits or requests gratuities in the form of tips or payment in kind.

12. Observes and highlights service areas which can be improved to maximize guest value for money.

13. Knowledgeable of the body’s muscle groups and makes recommendations based on the guest’s needs.

14. A competent user of available equipment and automation tools used within the Health Club.

15. Conducts daily/weekly inspections (checklist) of gym equipment to ensure compliance to standards and safety.

16. Reviews and updates safety procedures.

17. Facilitates training programs that deliver a high degree of awareness on guest safety and security.

18. Advises guests on the use of equipment, development plan and its benefits.

19. Assists guests with the usage of facilities available.

20. Gives private lessons to guests on demand.

21. Documents all training with the guest to be used for future reference.

22. Ensures guest has no injuries or medical condition prior to using the equipment.

23. Uses the guest’s name at least once during their interaction.

24. Remains polite while enforcing the rules firmly and equally to everyone.

25. Attends to all incidents such as accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues that may occur in the area and report such to the concerned department. If necessary, he must be able to perform appropriate first aid.

26. Conveys messages to guests in a discreet manner ensuring confidentiality so as not to disturb other guests.

27. Reports all maintenance faults and defects in the Health Club and Pool areas.

28. Follows the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) created in order to maintain consistency with Forbes Quality Service Standards and practices.

29. Meets the local and international VIP guests and demonstrates an appreciation for cultural diversity.

30. Ensures that all facilities are operating efficiently to successfully achieve the highest possible revenue and profit.

31. Ensures hygiene standards are adhered to at all times, including disinfecting equipment surfaces between users. Performing thorough cleaning of equipment at the end of each day. 32. Attends daily briefing and departmental meetings as required including scheduled training to refine and upgrade skills and participates in company-initiated employee activities (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility program).

33.Exercises regularly to maintain ftness itness level (strength and endurance).

34. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, especially the Lost and Found SOP

35. Identifies and implements best practices both in the overall Health Club and Pool operations as well as throughout the hotel.

36. Reduces waste materials and conserves supplies, water, and energy by adhering to the Company’s guideline on re-using and recycling.

37. Adheres to the established uniform, grooming, and specified hygiene and personal appearance standards.

38. Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards guests and colleagues.

39. Observes and perceptive of any suspicious activities and is knowledgeable on the SOP in handling such incidents.

40. Delivers appropriate safety procedures in time of crises and emergency.

41. Relieves as a Lifeguard, as necessary.

42. Ensures guests receive accurate and timely information and advise on the current product, events, and facilities of City of Dreams Manila including gaming, food & beverage, and entertainment.

43. Ensures and maintains confidentiality of all guest’s information and pertinent hotel data.

44. Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I.       Experience

1. Minimum 2 years working experience in a health club, luxury hotel health club

& spa with sound knowledge and understanding of the business.

2. International health club experience is an advantage.

II.       Education

1. Minimum of 2 years as an instructor in a luxury or similar hotel

2. High school or college level of any course

3. Personal fitness instructor certification

4. Certificate in any recreation / sports field (exposure to sports and recreation as a whole).

5. Other certifications required by local laws.
