Health and Safety Manager – UKI and Functions
Locations: National Role but core offices in Salford Quays M50 3SP or Staines TW18 3DZ
Hybrid: 1-2 days a week in the office | Permanent | Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary:
£54,900 - £57,000

We’re looking for an influential, proactive and pragmatic Health & Safety Manager to lead all H&S activity across UKI and Functions.
Reporting to our Director of Health & Safety, you’ll play a key role in shaping a safe workplace, embedding strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement across our office environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the main Health & Safety contact for Insurance and Functions, supporting leaders with practical, risk‑based advice.
  • Lead quarterly accident and incident reporting and drive the UKI & Functions H&S action plan.
  • Ensure all risk assessments (sites, activities, DSE) are completed and kept up to date.
  • Lead or coordinate investigations and complete all required regulatory reporting.
  • Carry out audits, inspections and core H&S checks, driving continuous improvement across office environments.
  • Support colleague safety and wellbeing through campaigns, initiatives and accessible workplace adjustments.
  • Facilitate quarterly H&S/Risk Committees and contribute to key working groups.
  • Manage external partnerships (RoSPA, accreditation bodies, workplace adjustment providers).
  • Line manage a H&S Officer and H&S Administrator, helping them develop and perform at their best.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice.
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills at all levels.
  • Excellent judgement, with the ability to balance risk, practicality and business needs.
  • Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
