PRN 9:30a-2:30p

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of healing touch techniques guided by concerns stated by the patient and the provider’s assessment, to include working with non-verbal patients. 
  • Demonstrates clinical reasoning, coupled with clinical skills to conduct accurate clinical assessments and perform patient care activities; evaluates the effectiveness of healing touch.  
  • Ensures treatment area and necessary equipment are in place before therapy session; Provides an environment consistent with accepted standards of sanitation, hygiene, safety, and Universal Precautions. 
  • Communicates patient information and thoroughly documents therapy actions and plan of care within the same business day as the service rendered.  
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards. 

Minimum Job Requirements 

Education

Completion of the HTI Healing Touch Certificate Program. 

Certification / Registration / License 

Healing Touch Practitioner Certification required (HTCP)
