The Head of Talent Acquisition for Asia Pacific will be responsible for overseeing and managing all lateral recruitment activities for the region across the investment and non-investment functions. This role will involve developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, building a strong talent pipeline, and ensuring the timely and efficient hiring of top-tier talent to support Blackstone's growth in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment for all hires in the APAC region, across both investments and corporate functions.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the Asia Pacific region, aligned with Blackstone's overall business objectives.

  • Elevate and manage a high-performing lean recruitment team, providing leadership, guidance, and training, ensuring a commitment to process excellence and a focus on high-quality candidate experience.

  • Drive senior searches in partnership with HRBP/APAC Head of HR

  • Be a contributing partner to the global TA team and lead the region through strategic changes in talent acquisition, such as direct sourcing, Workday enhancements and assessment

  • Establish and maintain proactive sourcing strategies to build candidate pipeline including identifying key talent pools, building relationships with external agencies and industry associations.

  • Utilize a variety of sourcing channels, including social media, employee referrals, and direct sourcing, to attract top-tier talent. Leverage branding and employer value proposition to position the company as an employer of choice.

  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit with Blackstone. Ensure APAC TA team standardized assessment processes to ensure consistency and fairness in the selection process.

  • Negotiate compensation packages and extend offers to successful candidates.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to understand their talent needs and provide strategic partnership to develop a sourcing strategy; support hiring managers to develop best practice recruiting skills.

  • Track and analyse recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in recruitment to ensure the company's recruitment efforts remain competitive and effective.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in recruitment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • An understanding of the asset management business, including the current market participants

  • Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific labor market and cultural nuances.

  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting top talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Stakeholder management skills at the highest level - ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proven manager of both process and people

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Results-oriented, highly motivated, strategic thinker and planner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Fluency in English; at least one other Asian language is an advantage.
