Job Description: Market Head, Taiwan
Role summary:
The Market Head, Taiwan is a critical role within the Greater China region, responsible for business development across Taiwan market. This role will succeed through partnership with our Distributor, collaborating to build and execute strategic plans, and proactive working cross-functionally with internal Dyson teams (Marketing, Sales Experience, Demand Planning, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.). This role is accountable for growing market share, delivering revenue and profit, identifying opportunities to unlock full retail potential, and formulating and delivering innovative, robust commercial plans. Through collaboration with the Distributor, this role will drive long-term and short-term business goals.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned commercial leader, with a quantifiable track record of success. They will think strategically, creatively and pragmatically to identify opportunities to drive sustainable and profitable business performance. They will be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive on taking initiative to get things done. They will demonstrate a growth mindset and ‘can-do’ attitude. Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic Thinking and Executional Delivery
Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for Taiwan market.
Identify market trends, new business opportunities and potential risks.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Build and lead a high-performing team with required capabilities and experience to achieve the business target.
2. Deliver sales results (volume and revenue) and profit
Responsible for delivering monthly sales results and communicating risks and opportunities in timely fashion, with clear plan of action.
Partner with the Distributor to ensure appropriate support and action needed (e.g. field sales training, VM and retail display).
Collaborate with regional teams (incl. Marketing, PR, Demand Planning and Finance) to ensure integrated business plans that seize all opportunities.
Drive effective channel strategies and range strategies to maximise and optimise Dyson profitability in line with market goals.
3. Distributor Partnership
Oversee management of Taiwan distributor partnership. Lead the quarterly business review cycle.
Establish strongest possible commercial relationships with key customers. Participate to the annual top to top meetings with key customers.
4. Leverage Marketing
Partner with the Regional Marketing team to ensure the development and maintenance of a strong brand identity in Taiwan through a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with overall business goals, including marketing campaigns leveraging online and offline channels, and digital marketing strategies including social media, owner experience, content marketing, etc.
Utilize customer data and market insights to identify key customer segments and tailor marketing efforts to meet their specific needs and preference.
Provide strong inputs to marketing spend to ensure efficient allocation of resources and maximise ROI on investment.
5. Financial Management
Manage the P&L for Taiwan business and ensure operational efficiency
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all business activities comply with local laws and regulations.
Ensure contract implementation is adhered to and terms are observed.
Ensure compliance with the competition and bribery guidelines.
Identify and manage potential risks to the business.
7. Fulfill other duties are required
Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role.

Identify problems and find solutions.
