Position Purpose  : 

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Supply Chain and Customer Care functions for Roquette India. This role ensures alignment with global strategies while adapting to local market requirements, delivering operational excellence in safety, quality, compliance, service, and cost efficiency.

The position is pivotal in driving transformation, building robust processes, and fostering collaboration across functions to achieve best-in-class supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.

Geographical Scope: India – Domestic, Imports, and Exports

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Deploy global Supply Chain and Customer Care strategies at the country level, ensuring alignment with business objectives and peer functions.
  • Drive transformation projects to achieve operational excellence and superior customer experience.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team across India, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement.

Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy encompassing demand planning, supply planning (SIOP), and logistics optimization.
  • Oversee logistics operations (transportation – ocean, air, road; warehousing; distribution) to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts with logistics partners to secure competitive rates and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and local statutory requirements (DGFT, EXIM, GST, FEMA).

Customer Care Excellence

  • Streamline Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes for B2B operations, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement technologies to reduce O2C cycle time, enable real-time order tracking, and optimize workflows.
  • Coach and develop Customer Care teams to strengthen customer intimacy and communication.
  • Lead change management initiatives to meet evolving Food and Pharma market requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing on strategic projects to improve customer fulfillment and working capital optimization.
  • Coordinate with global teams to build and execute SIOP consensus plans.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all supply chain activities.
  • Implement corrective actions post-audit (internal/external) for quality, customs, and insurance compliance.

Technical Competencies

  • Expertise in supply chain planning (demand forecasting, SIOP, MPS, MRP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-making
  • Solid understanding of business finance, order fulfillment, and logistics
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft tools

Functional & Managerial Competencies

  • Proven track record in team leadership and talent development
  • Experience in project and change management within complex organizations
  • Strategic mindset with pragmatic execution capability
  • Strong communication, influencing, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive transformation

Education:

Engineering / Master’s in Supply Chain / MBA

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in Supply Chain and Customer Care leadership roles

Business Trips (Percentage):

Travel Requirement: 25–30%
