Job description

Mission Statement / Short Description 

Head of Service Sales for Local Unit Greece, ensuring successful implementation of the Service Sales strategy and LU targets. Maintains appropriate market coverage for new business end-user influencing and service sales in LU Greece, while ensuring alignment with existing OEM and End User Agreements. Accountable for securing owner decisions in favour of ACCELLERON generating new business and service revenue, protecting margins, and maintaining key customer relationships.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Creates, plans and executes Accelleron sales strategy, sales plans and sales support activities for LU Greece, including sales targets, margin and incentive targets, customer visit plan, training plan (Salespersons), resource plan, revenue, customer communication and events plan

  • Lead , motivate and develop the Service Sales team in an acting capacity to drive sales of services and service products portfolio, and to influence end-user decisions to specify Accelleron Turbochargers for newbuilding projects to capture full market potential 

  • Communicate and coordinate closely with Operations, Business Development, Market Communication and Technical Advisor to maintain alignment and smooth handover/decision flow 

  • Maintain and further develop long-term relationships with key customers at all levels, ensuring continuity of engagement while exploring new business opportunities and influencing key decision processes 

  • Ensure adherence to Business Division rules and guidelines such as Safety and Compliance 

  • Request and propose market intelligence and business development projects as required to drive the growth of the business 

  • Share information gained from customer visits as part of market intelligence input 

  • Support Business Development as required to achieve overall goals 

  • Utilize data and proposals from BD on customer profile, customer ranking, market demand, business potential.

  • Monitor & verify major customer complaints & claims, coordinate with other functions to develop solution. Support definition / implementation of corrective actions 

  • Review, monitor & evaluate the sales performance of individual Salespersons of LU

  • Responsible for overall LU sales budget, margin, and market share 

  • Ensure continuity of the Sales team set-up and ways of working for the LU, provide day-to-day leadership and manage/allocate the Service Sales budget and resources.

Your background: 

EDUCATION 

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant field

EXPERIENCE 

  • Proven experience in service sales / aftermarket sales within Greek shipping market

  • Track record in developing customer relationships, negotiating long-term agreements, and delivering profitable growth 

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Business Development, and technical teams, people-leadership exposure is a strong advantage.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong commercial acumen, customer orientation, and ability to influence key decision makers 

  • Negotiation skills and contract understanding (service agreements, commercial terms, claims/complaints handling) 

  • Analytical mindset with ability to use market intelligence, customer ranking, and performance data to drive actions 

  • Strong communication skills, able to align stakeholders 

LANGUAGES / IT 

  • Fluent in English 

  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, reporting tools experience preferred 

TRAVEL 

  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, negotiations, and internal meetings as required
