We’re looking for a Head of Service & Operations. Based in Glasgow, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering Aggreko’s global IT service and infrastructure strategy. Reporting to the CIO, you’ll ensure our technology foundations are secure, reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting our fast-evolving global business.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Aggreko’s global IT infrastructure and service delivery operations, including the service desk.

  • Ensure our network, cloud, data centre, and end user compute roadmaps are secure, reliable, scalable, and future-proof.

  • Build, motivate, and develop a high-performance team, fostering strong customer service, continuous improvement, and a “shift-left” ethos.

  • Manage key vendor partnerships to maximise value, leverage innovation, and optimise third-party spend.

  • Define robust governance, working with Enterprise Architecture and IT Security to ensure effective controls that maintain ISO27001 certification and achieve SOX compliance.

  • Drive operational excellence by delivering strong performance across core ITIL processes—including Major Incident and cyber incident response.

  • Track and continuously improve service performance through SLAs, KPIs, and automation-driven efficiency.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience delivering IT services at scale in a global environment, balancing operational reliability with innovation.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build effective partnerships with platform and service vendors.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to set direction in a complex, fast-moving technology and business landscape.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, navigate competing priorities, and drive high performance.

  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with a passion for improving user experience and operational excellence.
