The Real estate Sector is looking for an ambitious and dedicated professional to lead the Real Estate sector team in the Netherlands.
The team serves as the primary contact with Real Estate clients and is responsible for origination and structuring of transactions, providing our clients with tailored solutions that suit their needs through the marketing of ING complete product portfolio. Your role & work environment
- You will report functionally to the Head of Real Estate EMEA and hierarchically to the Head of Sectors Netherlands
- Drive origination and revenue growth through direct engagement with key clients across local and national levels
- You are accountable for the financial and non-financial KPIs. You execute the regional/global sector strategy and long term plans on to local level
- You establish, oversee and manage the Real Estate portfolio and client relationships of the respective country or region, including but not limited to the on-boarding of new clients and exposures in accordance with local and global prevailing procedures and credit policies. Introduce and maintain a robust control environment and aligned operational governance model and related processes
- You lead and develop a high performance team. Responsible for managing a team and the clients within the Real Estate sector in consultation with the local Head of Sectors and EMEA RE Head and other relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to other Sectors, Products if and when relevant
- You set a strategy and long-term plans to play a driving role in the Real Estate business and in our network. Initiate initiatives and projects to execute the commercial strategy and think beyond the own country or region
- You have excellent (domestic) market knowledge and understanding of the existing and target client base, coupled with access to its key decision makers are therefore highly desirable
- You represent ING Real Estate locally and at conferences, seminars etc. Foster, build and expand commercial contacts with the real estate community and beyond, including with fellow bankers, non-bank financial institutions, real estate brokers etc.
- You contribute to the continuous education of the (global) RE & Wholesale Banking Franchise as a whole by keeping abreast of relevant developments and by sharing knowledge on product and market developments that are local/region specific.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics or equivalent academic qualification
- 8+ years’ experience in banking/lending products within international environment
- Good knowledge of Real Estate market
- Clients proximity
- Proven experience in originating and executing transactions for a range of products
- Strong analytical, credit, and financial modelling skills
- People’s management skills
- Authentic and confident presentation and communication skills
- High level of self-motivation and commercial drive
- A ‘can do’ mentality, proactive, resourceful and willing to go the extra mile
- Attentive to compliance and governance issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
