Transformation Division - Maximizing value of technology and change investment with best practice insights and process’ to drive speedy and reliable delivery.
Transformation is responsible managing and delivering change and technology investment for NN Life Japan. We provide resource, project, and portfolio management services, process’ and governance to effectively deliver change for NN life Japan. We leverage a hybrid waterfall and agile methodologies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and business.
This role is focused on building and leading a strong project management with the right people, skills, process’ and resources to delivery our project portfolio.
【職務内容/ Job Description】
The Head of Project Management is responsible for leading the Project Management team at NNLJ to plan, execute, and deliver projects successfully across the organization. This role oversees a project portfolio, strengthens governance and delivery methodologies, and supports the development and success of Project Managers.
Working closely with Transformation & Technology teams, C‑level executives, and business divisions, this role ensures effective delivery of change initiatives that meet strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and project management expertise, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. A passion for coaching, capability building, and fostering a high‑performing team is essential.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop the corporate Project Management team, including recruitment, capability development, coaching, and succession planning.
- Oversee the delivery of the project portfolio, ensuring alignment to business priorities and delivery standards.
- Define, evolve, and enforce project management methodologies, governance, and standards to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.
- Act as Senior Supplier on projects, ensuring cost‑effective and financially sustainable outcomes.
- Reduce delivery risk through effective oversight and adherence to project management practices.
- Raise organizational project management maturity by providing guidance and training to teams supporting projects.
- Drive high levels of stakeholder and customer satisfaction through strong delivery outcomes and effective relationships.

【経験・資格/ Qualification (Experience/ Certification)】
＜Must＞
- 5+ years’ experience in project management with proven people leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing project teams
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, and best practices
- Experience managing multiple projects or portfolios across different domains
- Solid understanding of project financial management (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)
- Strong ownership mindset with high attention to detail and organizational discipline
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous, or conflicting environments
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver results to tight timelines
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship‑building skills at all levels
- Resilient under pressure with the ability to perform effectively in high‑stress situations
- Fluent Japanese and business‑level English
