In this pivotal role, you will shape and drive the strategic and operational objectives of our product lines, leading the global product direction based on workflow and customer needs, to ensure sustainable business growth and success in revenue and EBIT over the long term (3-5 years).
Your role will specifically encompass the following responsibilities:
Lead Product Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from ideation, through development sustaining and phase-out phases.
Drive Competitive Edge: Ensure our product lines align with business objectives, shaping markets, maintaining competitiveness in features and cost of goods sold (COGS) throughout their lifecycle.
Market Introduction Strategy: Spearhead the market introduction of new products as outlined in our Product Launch Process. Collaborate closely with Strategic Marketing to ensure seamless handover of all necessary data for successful launches, aligning with sector-specific goals.
Market Insights and Trends: Continuously monitor and assess market developments, including customer needs, competitive activities, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders for collaborative development efforts, while also maintaining connections with global reference sites, users, and our Sales and Service Companies (SSCs).
Performance Analysis: Regularly evaluate sales performance, profitability, and market share trends within your product group to inform strategic decisions.
Empower Your Team: Coach and mentor team members to unlock their full potential, while actively attracting and retaining top talent within the organization.
Play a central role in the senior leadership team of the Business Sector
Educational Background: A university degree in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration is essential; an MBA is advantageous.
Extensive Experience: Proven track record in global management within the medical device sector, demonstrating comprehensive commercial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
Project Management Expertise: Strong project management skills complemented by a solid understanding of global service management practices.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate across diverse teams.
Intercultural Skills: Exceptional negotiation abilities, expertise in contract drafting, and a high level of interpersonal skills to manage employee relations and maintain a robust professional network with a strong customer focus.
