Cabrini Allied Health is a rapidly growing and highly integrated service representing twelve allied health professions. The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to lead Physiotherapy services at Cabrini Health.  This is a full-time permanent role based across all Cabrini sites, but with Cabrini Malvern as the primary work location.

This role is responsible for the leadership and management of Physiotherapists working across all Cabrini sites & services. In addition, the role also includes management of Podiatry and Exercise Physiology, and relevant credentialed professionals such as Orthotists & Prosthetists. This role has a primary focus of operational management of clinicians from these disciplines, working within acute and sub-acute bed-based services. 

Experience in leadership and management within a complex health service would be an asset to this role, as well as relevant clinical experience in acute or sub-acute settings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership, clinical governance, and promote evidence-based, person-centred care for physiotherapy, exercise physiology and podiatry services.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, patient satisfaction and high staff engagement.

  • Manage human and material resources efficiently, ensuring services meet Cabrini’s needs within budget.

  • Foster a work environment which enhances partnership, teamwork and co-operation.

  • Champion innovation in service models, technologies, and interprofessional collaboration.

  • Promote quality improvement, respond to feedback, and ensure compliance with Cabrini policies.

About You:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Physiotherapist who has strong leadership skills and professional knowledge to lead the Physiotherapy department at Cabrini.

You will have:

  • A Physiotherapy degree, as well as current registration with AHPRA.

  • Completion of, or working towards, relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g. MHA, MBA, MPH).

  • Extensive experience in leadership and management.

  • Proven capacity to inspire, influence and motivate staff and to contribute to a positive and compassionate organisational culture.

  • A high level of interpersonal, communication and relationship development skills.

  • A passion for patient-centred care, system improvement, and collaborative leadership

  • Confidence in performance management, conflict resolution and negotiation.

  • Commitment to improving own practice and professional development.

  • Strong operational and clinical governance experience.
