Summary

We’re looking for an exceptional senior leader responsible for shaping and delivering Sky’s future-ready approach to personalisation, ensuring teams, data, and technology are aligned to deliver meaningful, data-driven customer experiences across all touchpoints.

This role focuses on the executional enablement of personalisation — building the frameworks, processes and prioritised roadmap required to operationalise audience-led journeys and ensure teams can deliver effectively in the new ecosystem.

This role will partner closely with Marketing, Martech, Data, Ecommerce, and Planning teams to translate ambition into actionable, scalable use cases that bring personalisation to life.

A hands-on leadership role, it demands a strong communicator and organiser — able to manage multiple stakeholders, balance competing priorities, and deliver tangible readiness outcomes within a 12-month timeframe.

Responsibilities

Lead Skys Personalisation Readiness Programme

  • Own and drive Sky’s personalisation readiness strategy — defining the capabilities, processes, and dependencies needed to enable full activation through new martech platforms.
  • Map the current and future-state journey capabilities across owned, paid and ecommerce channels, identifying opportunities and readiness gaps.
  • Work closely with Martech, Data, and Channel leads to ensure that audience management, decisioning, and activation foundations are in place.

User Case Development & Prioritisation

  • Lead the discovery, documentation and delivery of priority personalisation use cases — defining what success looks like and how it will be measured.
  • Create and maintain a structured prioritisation framework to balance customer value, commercial impact, and implementation effort.
  • Ensure all use cases are clearly defined, governed, and ready for handover into delivery once the new martech capabilities are live.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

  • Act as the operational bridge between marketing, data, martech and ecommerce teams — ensuring personalisation ambitions are grounded in executable plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Transformation teams o ensure readiness work complements (not duplicates) strategic transformation and capability-building initiatives.
  • Partner with the Customer Comms Strategy and Planning teams to align use cases with communication and campaign strategies, without overlapping their strategic or creative remit.

Journey Design & Executional Excellence

  • Lead the creation of clear, data-informed customer journey blueprints that connect audiences, content and channels.
  • Champion the operational view of customer experience — focusing on how journeys are triggered, personalised and measured.
  • Partner with Experimentation and Analytics teams to define test frameworks, success metrics and reporting models.

Governance, Communication & Delivery

  • Establish governance processes to manage prioritisation, progress tracking and dependencies across owned, paid & ecommerce workstreams.
  • Create clear communication rhythms with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment and visibility.
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex cross-team initiatives, ensuring delivery milestones are met and learnings are shared.

Leadership & Influence

  • Act as the senior thought partner for personalisation readiness across Sky, representing the function in cross-business forums.
  • Provide clarity and direction on personalisation priorities to senior stakeholders across Marketing, Data, and Technology.
  • Influence planning and decision-making to ensure personalisation is embedded into key programmes and delivery roadmaps.

What you’ll bring – all skills listed required

  • Deep personalisation and martech readiness expertise: Strong understanding of how audience data, segmentation, and activation technologies combine to deliver personalised experiences.
  • Operational programme leadership: Experienced in building frameworks, defining workstreams and managing delivery across multiple stakeholders – particularly Martech transformation programmes.
  • Strategic yet practical thinker: Able to translate ambition into actionable delivery plans without drifting into long-term transformation strategy.
  • Strong stakeholder management: Skilled at navigating senior and cross-functional relationships, aligning diverse teams around shared objectives.
  • Storytelling and communication: Able to communicate progress, complexity and impact in a clear, structured, and engaging way.
  • Commercial and customer insight: Understands how personalisation drives measurable value and customer relevance.
  • Self-starter with focus on execution: Thrives in an environment with competing priorities, driving pace and clarity to achieve outcomes efficiently.
