The Head of North American Insurance Programs Operations provides senior leadership and operational accountability for the company’s delegated authority insurance programs across North America. This role owns end-to-end operational performance, governance, and financial discipline of program business, with particular emphasis on claims and premium bordereaux oversight, TPA funding, Technology Roadmaps and audit execution.
As the senior operational authority for program business, this leader ensures MGAs, MGUs, and TPAs operate in alignment with contractual requirements, underwriting intent, financial controls, and regulatory expectations, while enabling scalable and sustainable program growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Governance
Serve as the senior operational owner for all North American insurance programs operating under delegated authority.
Establish and enforce operational standards related to reporting, controls, performance metrics, and partner accountability.
Act as the primary escalation point for operational, financial, or compliance issues involving MGAs, MGUs, and TPAs.
Oversee program onboarding, renewals, restructures, and offboarding for MGAs, MGUs and TPA’s from an operational perspective.
Serve as Agile Product Owner for the NA Programs Value Stream. Additionally responsible for Programs roadmap and technology capabilities.
Claims Operations, Bordereaux & TPA Oversight
Maintain executive oversight of claims operations across all delegated programs.
Ensure timely, complete, and accurate claims bordereaux submissions.
Monitor claims operations performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
Premium Bordereaux & Financial Operations
Own governance and oversight of premium bordereaux.
Partner with finance on premium booking, reconciliation, and variance resolution.
Ensure reinsurer and treaty reporting requirements are met.
TPA Funding & Cash Management
Establish and oversee TPA funding structures including loss funds and replenishment mechanisms.
Monitor funding adequacy and cash reconciliation.
Escalate and resolve funding or control issues.
Audit Leadership & Assurance
Lead TPA funding and internal process audits.
Approve remediation plans and track corrective actions for TPA Operations.
Ensure audit outcomes inform program authority decisions related to funding and reconciliation discrepancies.
Data Governance & Reporting
Define bordereaux standards and validation rules.
Deliver executive-level program performance reporting.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, reinsurance, information technology and compliance leaders.
Lead and develop program operations teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive leadership in insurance operations or delegated authority programs.
Extensive experience with claims and premium bordereaux.
Direct accountability for TPA funding and audits.
Proven Financial Experience with Premium and Loss Fund Accounting/Reconciliation

Disciplined TPA funding and clean audits
Scalable and well-controlled program operations
Role Factors:
This role requires being in the office 3 days per week.
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $170,000.00 to $195,000.00. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
