The Head of North America Proposal & Content Management is responsible for leading the regional delivery of institutional RFPs, RFIs, and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) in support of the firm’s investment management business. This role manages the day-to-day performance of the North America proposals team, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant responses while partnering closely with Sales, Client Coverage, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Investment teams. 

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on RFP/DDQ experience, a solid understanding of investment management, and proven people leadership capability within a matrixed, global operating model. This role requires strong execution discipline, comfort leading change, and the ability to balance regional priorities with global standards.

RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs are often the first and most visible representation of SSIM’s capabilities, discipline, and investment expertise. By ensuring consistent, high-quality, and compliant delivery across North America, this role directly supports new business growth, client retention, and regulatory confidence, while enabling Sales and client-facing teams to stay focused on relationship management and outcomes. Strong leadership in this role helps SSIM scale effectively, manage risk, and present a clear, compelling story in an increasingly demanding and competitive environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Proposal & DDQ Delivery Oversight 

  • Own end-to-end execution of all North America RFP, RFI, and DDQ activity, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines. 

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, high-priority, or time-sensitive proposals within the region. 

  • Partner with Sales and Client Coverage teams to review proposal requirements, support bid/no-bid decisions, and align responses to client and consultant expectations. 

  • Ensure all responses meet internal governance, regulatory, and compliance standards in a highly regulated environment. 

People & Team Leadership 

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of proposal and content management professionals based in North America. 

  • Set clear priorities, manage capacity, and allocate work to meet volume and service-level expectations. 

  • Coach and mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, and support ongoing skill development. 

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring and onboarding aligned with business needs. 

Change & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support and lead regional implementation of process improvements, tooling enhancements, and content management initiatives. 

  • Drive adoption of global standards, templates, and workflows while providing regional feedback and practical input. 

  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and scalability of the proposal function. 

Stakeholder & Matrix Collaboration 

  • Work closely with global Proposal & Content Management leadership, aligning North America execution with global direction. 

  • Build strong working relationships across Sales Infrastructure, Product, Investments, Legal, Compliance, and Technology. 

  • Provide regular reporting on volumes, delivery performance, risks, and capacity to functional leadership. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 7–10 years of experience in institutional RFP, RFI, and DDQ management within asset management or financial services. 

  • Strong understanding of investment management concepts, products, asset classes, and institutional clients. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing performance in a deadline-driven environment. 

  • Experience working effectively in a matrix reporting structure with global stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to support and lead change initiatives, including process or operating model enhancements. 

  • Excellent written communication, editing, and attention-to-detail skills. 

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management capabilities. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance or investment-related background preferred. 

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $140,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
