We are looking for a new colleague to be our new Head of Mobility and Classic Solutions architecture unit.
In this position you will lead the unit’s architectural function which entails further shaping and securing the architectural direction, securing that we have a good collaborative environment with our stakeholders, and to secure that the team has the right competencies over time. You will help the area to align with strategies, shape the architecture direction and supporting them in reaching their goal by making the complex simple and efficiently adapting the message to different stakeholders needs.
The architect can see and understand things in a larger context. The architect understands the business strategy and the needs of our stakeholders and how that transcends into concrete solutions. One of its most appreciated abilities is to make thoughtful decisions, weighing the pros and cons, making the complex simpler. This leadership position is part of the IT Architecture unit in If. We make sure that we set common direction and have the building blocks in place to underpin business needs and strategies, in deep collaboration with cross-functional product and development teams.
The team currently consists of employees and consultants, two lead architects and 7 solution architects. The architects are located in Stockholm and Riga. The unit is part of the IT Architecture organization. Together, we ensure that architectural decisions are deeply aligned with both business needs and technical feasibility, fostering innovation and quality throughout the company.
As Head of Mobility and Classic Solutions Architecture you will
Be part of If’s central architecture unit and report to Head of If Architecture Hub.
Manage and partaking in key architectural deliveries and support the lead architects in driving the direction in your unit.
Contribute to key strategic initiatives across If as needed.
Recruit, coach, develop, and support highly skilled and motivated employees within the unit.
Ensure we have the right relationships, interfaces and good collaboration with the stake holders.
Secure that Mobility and Classic Solutions needs are discussed when affecting changes outside of the area are planned.
Participate in relevant needed IT technical governance forums representing Mobility and Classic Solutions and relevant management teams.
Support business and IT stakeholders in architecture related matters.
Actively partake in the dialogue with the engineering managers in the area in order to support the overall IT delivery.
Continuously develop your competencies and build your knowledge about architecture, technology and leadership.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align enterprise solutions with overall business objectives securing their economic feasibility.
Lead with a focus on delivering technology transformations with modern, cloud-based architecture, ensuring we take steps in the intended direction and clean up on the way.

Have a big interest for the Insurance motor business and want to learn more.
Have experience working with and driving architecture including leading other architects and following-up their deliveries whilst also yourself taking on solution architecture tasks in addition to working on the bigger picture.
Might previously have worked as a developer where you built a strong technical experience that you have upkept. Furthermore, you have good knowledge in primarily Microsoft technologies and have experience of public cloud solutions like Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.
Have experience as an architect with development of distributed systems in a complex enterprise setting.
Have previously held a manager position with personnel responsibility.
