Role Overview

Fidelity aims to be the premier provider of asset management products and solutions in Hong Kong and is committed to devoting the resources to make that transpire. The Head of Marketing, Hong Kong will lead Fidelity’s marketing strategy and execution in one of our most dynamic and strategically important markets. This role is responsible for building brand visibility, strengthening client engagement across institutional, intermediary, and retail channels, and delivering integrated campaigns that support business growth objectives.

We are seeking a senior marketing leader to drive Fidelity International’s marketing strategy in Hong Kong—one of our most strategic markets globally—while also leading ETF marketing across the Asia Pacific region. This role has direct accountability for accelerating growth across Wholesale and Institutional channels in Hong Kong, alongside shaping and coordinating ETF marketing strategy regionally. The role operates within a broader regional marketing ecosystem, with dedicated teams responsible for Sales Enablement/Product Marketing. Success in this role will depend on strong collaboration across these functions to ensure alignment, consistency, and executional excellence. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, APAC, based in Singapore.



Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Developing and implementing the marketing strategy and activities for all 3 business channels (Wholesale, Institutional, and Regional ETFs), working in close partnership with the local business / sales teams and regional marketing teams to develop and implement key initiatives that include above and below the line, through-the-line, offline, digital/mobile/social focused marketing activities; and
  • Collaborating with the Head of Regional Product Marketing team to develop effective and powerful marketing content strategy, aligned with business & product/solution proposition, to deliver world-class marketing communication plan in both traditional and digital channels/platforms for Hong Kong business
  • Act as a strategic partner to country leadership—providing market insights, brand positioning, and marketing recommendations that support distribution, product, and client goals.
  • Champion Fidelity’s brand, ensuring consistency, relevance, and differentiation in Hong Kong’s competitive market.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the Hong Kong Sales, Investment, Product Marketing, PR/Corporate Comm. and Product teams to ensure maximum effectiveness of marketing programs for all products and services.

Campaigns & Client Engagement

  • Lead the design and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across advertising, digital, events, and content, distributor sponsorship activities—tailored for institutional, intermediary, and retail audiences aligned to strategy.
  • Oversee digital marketing strategy for Hong Kong, including local website, social media, and digital campaigns, ensuring best-in-class client experience and compliance with regulations.
  • Be the lead in driving Marketing Tech in utilising CRM shared capability and best practice to enable omni-channel marketing strategy to its desired effect.
  • Partner closely with distribution teams to deliver sales enablement programs, distributor marketing support, and client-facing thought leadership.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing local marketing team able to create and implement effective tactics across all marketing disciplines including, advertising, digital marketing, digital product management, CRM, content marketing, research, client insights study & understanding, and events.
  • Lead, coach, inspire and motivate the marketing team.
  • Partner with APAC marketing centers of excellence (Brand, Digital, Content, PR/Comms) to leverage regional capabilities while tailoring for Hong Kong.
  • Manage external agencies, media partners, and vendors to ensure effective delivery of marketing initiatives.

Governance & Measurement

  • Build a risk-aware culture amongst the team.
  • Demonstrate strong control environment and compliance with local and global regulations together with internal oversight rules and regulations.
  • Work effectively with Legal and Compliance to ensure that marketing related materials and programs complies with Hong Kong regulatory requirements and Fidelity’s internal governance standards.
  • Managing the marketing budget to reflect aligned business goals
  • Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks to track the effectiveness of campaigns and marketing ROI.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to local and regional leadership on market dynamics, brand performance, and client engagement.

You’ll succeed because you have:

  • Minimum 15+ years marketing experience with a proven track record in the following marketing disciplines:  marketing strategy, brand management, product marketing and digital marketing.
  • Proven ability to drive marketing strategies that contribute to commercial outcomes (e.g., fund flows, engagement, retention)
  • Experience of working in the financial services industry essential. Experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage.
  • Deep understanding of Hong Kong’s asset management and ETF distribution industry, as well as strong knowledge of investments and financial markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into marketing strategy and deliver impactful campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Proven track record in an international corporate environment.
  • A proactive communicator with proven ability to articulate and share the marketing vision, actively participate in and influence marketing discussions and build comprehensive internal networks within a global organisation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English is required.
  • Expertise across the marketing mix—brand building, digital, content, events, and distribution partnerships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management—confident working with senior leadership, distribution, product, and external partners
  • Senior level presence, with the capability to build credibility and gain trust and respect. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, communications and problem-solving skills. Ability to thoughtfully challenge decisions or recommendations as appropriate.  Ability to interface with all levels/disciplines. Effective and proactive communicator with proven ability to actively participate in and influence discussions. Capable of capturing the attention and respect of senior client executives, Fidelity management, colleagues and team members.
  • Proven people management skill - experience in leading a high performing team with track record of achieving marketing & business objective in winning market share.
  • Able to build comprehensive internal networks within the organisation and work effectively with internal stakeholders to drive the commercialization of business opportunities.
