Head of Marketing - Brand & Sponsorship (12 month FTC)

We are looking for an Interim Head of Brand and Sponsorship who will relish the prospect of crafting the future of this business (and sector) within the UK and Ireland.

This is your chance to bring new ideas to a business that has doubled in size over the past 5 years. The way we have always done things isn't necessarily the way we will always do them, we are continually turning the dial!

What you'll do

Brand and Creative are the start and end point when it comes to how each of our brands look, feel, sound, smell and taste.

You'll have responsibility for brand & creative strategy and execution for the Sky Bet brand. Leading a team made up of passionate and ambitious experts across brand strategy, brand guardianship, sponsorship activation, creative & design, and campaign delivery; you will have accountability for all end-to-end football campaign delivery, including strategy development, agency briefing through to channel execution for events including the World Cup and the domestic season.

You will prove the effectiveness of brand and sponsorship work which directly and indirectly impact the Sky Bet P&L, contributing to the overall target of YoY revenue growth.

You'll drive our sponsorship strategy and activation of Skybet's EFL partnership with a clear understanding of how this links back to business outcomes.

You will lead a vast array of partners and influence across areas. The role will report directly into the Marketing Director and be encouraged to effectively lead upwards without compromise.

More than ever before it is critical that brand & creative are connected to the performance of the business. You will be encouraged to be adept in understanding the P&L in real time and continually assessing the longer-term commercial impact of what your team delivers.

How you'll do it

  • A brand marketeer proficient in the art of brand strategy; an expert in brand guardianship with a consistent track record in successful campaign delivery, and someone who has experience across both creative and design management.

  • You will be proficient at creating a clear methodology and plan for monitoring brand effectiveness and supplying recommendations for how to improve.

  • A leader who has an approach of constant improvement and is passionate about building capability and developing others as well as yourself.

  • Be a strong communicator who is approachable and highly visible, engaging and collaborating at all levels.
