ABOUT THE POSITION
Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations at BURGA is more than just a title – it’s a hands-on leadership role at the core of our operational transformation. You will join BURGA at a critical stage: transitioning from a fast-moving, fragmented IT setup into a structured, secure, and scalable IT environment that can support manufacturing, automation, and further international growth. This role is heavily execution-focused. Your primary mission will be to lead the IT infrastructure and operations for our new manufacturing facility, bring order to existing systems, and ensure stable day-to-day IT operations across the business.
Your Role: As Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations, you will take full ownership of BURGA’s IT infrastructure, operations, security governance, and internal IT execution. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and external vendors, you will ensure that IT systems, networks, and integrations reliably support business-critical processes — from production and warehouse automation to core enterprise platforms. This role is about turning complexity into clarity. You will transform a fragmented IT landscape into a stable, structured, and scalable foundation by establishing clear standards, processes, and system ownership, enabling reliable operations and long-term growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises IT infrastructure (servers, networks, access control, hardware) for BURGA’s manufacturing facilities.
- Own the IT execution for factory launch and future expansion projects.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring stability, availability, and performance of business-critical systems.
- Coordinate and manage external IT vendors, infrastructure partners, and system integrators.
- Lead internal IT teams (SysAdmins, internal developers, IT support), ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
- Oversee integrations between Business Central (Finance & Warehouse), MES, production systems, and warehouse automation.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, access management, onboarding/offboarding processes, and documentation standards.
- Own IT security execution, including GDPR (BDAR) compliance, access controls, and security audits in cooperation with external partners.
- Structure and manage the IT support function (Helpdesk processes, escalation flows, SLAs).Reduce operational risk by replacing manual workarounds with structured systems and processes.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar IT leadership, IT product, or IT operations role.
- Proven experience launching or scaling IT environments for factories, offices, or complex operational setups.
- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise and on-premises IT infrastructure.
- Experience with system integrations (APIs, databases, middleware).
- Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and access management.
- Experience working with ERP, MES, manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and external vendors.
- Highly structured, process-oriented mindset with strong documentation habits.
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment with ambiguity and build structure from scratch.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Very good command of English.
