ING Analytics aims, by using data & AI, at differentiating ING as a leader in a data-driven organization, within the banking sector and beyond. The team consists of delivery tribes focused on the bank’s key domains (such as Operations, Retail Banking, Wholesale banking, etc.), local country analytics teams, as well as strong support areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, and an analytics office in charge of strategy, partnerships, portfolio and business development that you will be part of.

Head of ING Analytics NFR, in Tribe Global AI & Data Platforms
As INGA NFR Lead you are responsible for leading a team of experts and act as an authority for the non‑financial risk (NFR) and control function in ING Analytics so that its activities—and the integrity of products, services and employees—comply with internal standards and (regulatory) requirements, operate smoothly, and can be demonstrated to supervisors and internal/external stakeholders.
You will lead the risk change agenda related to Analytics to enable the fast-paced world of (Gen), guiding ING to leverage new capabilities at scale in an efficient, effective, safe and compliant manner.
Your scope includes amongst others the INGA platforms and support for INGA’s delivery tribes on the topics of Non-Financial Risk, Data Protection, Data Governance and Model quality.
Role Profile
As Head of INGA NFR, you report to the Tribe lead of Global AI & Data Platforms. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead the change agenda within 1st and 2nd LoD: incorporate the fast-moving world of AI into effective and efficient governance processes. You will be a key player to help navigate this change to enable scalable use of these capabilities in a safe and compliant manner.
- Be recognized as business partner: You will be a key stakeholder to senior leadership regarding 1st and 2nd LoD in the Analytics agenda and bring an outside-in view on best practices in financial services.
- Implement best practice WoW: support all domains and entities with implementing efficient and effective risk processes related to AI and data, particularly the use of the global platforms and model development best practices
- Risk Management in INGA: Drive Risk Management practices across a complex, cross‑tribe organization; set guardrails, monitor KPIs, drive timely remediation, and keep risk within appetite. Drive adoption of Risk Management culture and standardized practices.
- NFR, Data Protection & Governance Enablement: Support INGA delivery tribes on Non‑Financial Risk, Data Protection, Data Governance, and Model Quality; translate policies into actionable controls, acceptance criteria, and “risk‑by‑design” ways of working across product teams.
- NFR Roadmap & Execution: Own and implement the INGA NFR roadmap in tight alignment with INGA, Risk, and related stakeholders; prioritize epics/features, sequence delivery across squads, and ensure transparent evidence of control design, implementation, and effectiveness testing.
- Planning, Budgeting & Benefits Realization: Support the (annual) financial processes and continuously improve the way-of-working in the organization to realize quality- and efficiency improvements. Report progress via clear KPIs and value-based narratives.
- Talent & Team Development: Lead a global team; foster a high‑performance, inclusive, and continuously learning culture.
About you
Education:
- Academic Master’s degree (MSc) in a related field
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience of which 5+ years in a management position
- Track record of leading Risk Management programs in key business area(s)
- Must have financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of risk, finance and data & AI domains.
- Proven ability to define strategy, manage global roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams in complex matrix organizations
- Has experience working in a large (international) matrix organization
- Has a multicultural mind-set and a customer-focused perspective
