Your role

We are looking for a person with strong understanding of business information needs and associated information architectures, flows and security that enable effective and efficient business operations.

In this role, you will drive the organization’s digitalization efforts and ensure that the right foundations are in place for long-term success. You will work with core data and information management processes, and oversee the methods and tools needed to support a modern, digital business environment.

A key part of your work will be translating business needs into clear information management strategies that align with both long-term business plans and enterprise-wide requirements. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that digital initiatives are well-supported, integrated, and enable data-driven decision-making.

As Head of Information and Data Management for Saab Business Area Kockums, you will:

• Provide exemplary leadership, not only in your area of expertise but for Kockums Information Management journey as a whole
• Provide active support and guidance for management decisions related to information management throughout its lifecycle
• Own and develop Business Area information management strategies to realize business objective and enterprise requirements
• Develop and implement updated information and Data management governance
• Ensure information management compliance, continuous improvement and competence development across Business Area
• Ensure information and data management values and compliance when workloads are moved to public cloud
• Enable that information and data can be used in big data, AI tools, BI and data science to leverage increased value from our information
• Lead continuous development of our ways of working, including training in compliance, methods and processes securing that all users within the business area are aware of and follow rules and processes for information and data management
• Steer information management related projects to successful implementation
• Represent Kockums in interactions with both external and internal parties
• Represent Kockums in the Saab Information Management Council

You will work closely with an Information Management back-office with representatives from different parts of the Business Area, and report to Business Area Head of Operational Excellence.

Your profile

You have a successful track record in leadership and cooperation. You have a high analytic ability, enabling you to prioritize effectively in the face of challenging business needs. You are clear and effective in your verbal and written communication in both Swedish and English. You have extensive experience in information management from a strategy and leadership perspective and in driving tactical implementation and change management.

Background and experience:

• B.Sc/M.Sc in Engineering, IT or other relevant discipline, alternatively extensive and demonstrable experience in an area related to this role
• Extensive experience in information management from an enterprise, staff function,  research and development, production, industrialization or similar environments
• Experience with information management standards: ISO 27001, NATO, NIST (including CMMC self-assessment)
• Minimum of 10 years management experience, preferably in information management or IT related roles

Kockums has operations across multiple sites and it is therefore a requirement to hold a car driving license to enable travel between sites. Your primary place of work will be Lund, Karlskrona, Linköping or Stockholm.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
