Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:
• Take ownership and responsibility for the buildout of new distribution channels and partners across the Global Health Benefits (GHB) segment for Cigna
• Achieve individual targets and collaboratively work with other team members to achieve the overall team sales targets.
• Provide solutions to brokers / clients including but not limited to quotations, medical underwriting enquiries, follow-up of the pending information, and other enquiries from brokers / clients.
• Coordinate and take ownership of key marketing events as required to engage broker partners and other stakeholders
• Act as single point of contact for specified and sensitive broker partnerships as required by the business
• Support and develop more junior colleagues across the organsation to ensure continued development of the colleagues
• Act as a brand ambassador for the organization at marketing events, broker events and more generally through speaking engagements as required
• Work with all Distribution colleagues and the Hong Kong Leadership team to develop sales and broker strategies for the assigned & new broker portfolio.
• Form growth strategies aimed at boosting sales momentum, leveraging data insights and market trends to guide the team’s direction.
• Strong knowledge in local employer health products, individual products and market landscape.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers/clients by acting as a key contact point and providing efficient and quality services.
• A self-starter – able to proactively setup and manage broker/client activities to generate new business relationships.
• Able to demonstrate strong experience in independently leading a strategic sale, especially with jumbo strategic brokers, from sales pitch to implementation of new business.
• Bridge communications between internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist on any ad-hoc business projects.
Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:
• Undergraduate Degree with minimum 10 years’ related working experience in Employee Benefits, preferably with benefits advisory background
• IIQE Paper 1 and 2 required
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Chinese fluency is not mandatory for this role)
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Self-starter and able to manage priorities in meeting tight deadlines
• Detailed oriented, organized and able to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Innovative and sound problem-solving skills to respond to brokers and clients
