Position goal:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Indirect Tax Lead to establish and lead our newly established Global indirect tax and tax operations support function. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing a robust global indirect tax framework in alignment with the company’s digital transformation, including the rollout of SAP S/4HANA and VERTEX. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring consistent and compliant indirect tax processes across all relevant jurisdictions, while supporting respective local ongoing compliance obligations. In his role you will also be responsible for local country tax operations support and local tax functions in our GBS countries Poland, Philippines.
Your responsibilities:
Build and lead a global indirect tax team, defining its structure and scope.
Lead the integration of indirect tax requirements within the SAP S/4HANA and VERTEX implementation, ensuring accurate tax determination, reporting, and automation.
Support local finance and tax teams in ensuring indirect tax compliance across all operating entities
Establish standardized indirect tax processes and controls to drive accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
Monitor global indirect tax developments and assess potential business impacts
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Legal, and the business to ensure tax requirements are embedded in business processes and systems.
Our requirements:
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law; professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, CPA) preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in indirect tax, ideally within a multinational environment or Big Four firm.
Strong knowledge of global VAT/GST regulations and compliance requirements.
Proven experience with ERP tax systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and VERTEX or similar tax automation tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead global projects and build cross-border teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
