About the role:
The Head of Global Employer Brand & University Relations, a director-level people leader position, is a global strategic leadership role responsible for shaping how Takeda attracts, engages, and develops future talent worldwide. In this role, you will define and advance Takeda’s global employer brand and early career strategies to strengthen long-term workforce capability in support of enterprise business priorities.
You will lead the global function responsible for employer branding, recruitment marketing, talent marketing technology, and university relations, ensuring Takeda’s talent attraction approach is insight-driven, digitally enabled, and aligned to evolving workforce and business needs across experienced and emerging talent markets.
Success in this role requires deep functional expertise across global recruitment marketing, marketing analytics, talent technology ecosystems, and early career strategy, combined with strong executive influence and global leadership capability.
This position follows the Global Human Resources hybrid work model, with a current requirement of five (5) in‑office days per month at our Lexington, Massachusetts office.
How you will contribute:
Define Takeda’s global employer brand and talent attraction strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise workforce priorities and corporate reputation objectives.
Own the global employer brand investment strategy, including budget governance and prioritization across markets, programs, and channels.
Establish performance frameworks that connect employer brand and attraction activities to hiring outcomes, talent pipeline strength, and organizational impact.
Provide executive oversight of Takeda’s global talent marketing ecosystem, ensuring technology, digital experience, and automation capabilities enable scalable and effective candidate engagement.
Set strategic direction for innovation and modernization of talent marketing capabilities in partnership with HR Digital and Talent Acquisition Technology teams.
Define and lead Takeda’s global university relations and early career strategy to build sustainable talent pipelines aligned with future business and capability needs.
Partner across Global HR and business leadership to position early career programs as strategic workforce investments supporting succession, skills development, and long-term talent growth.
Lead and develop a globally distributed team, establishing clear operating models, accountability, and functional excellence across employer brand and university relations.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior TA, HR, and business leaders on talent market perception, competitiveness, and emerging workforce trends.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree preferred
10+ years of progressive experience, with deep expertise in Employer Brand and enterprise‑wide program development across Talent Acquisition, Early Career and University Relations, or closely related talent marketing functions.
Demonstrated experience leading global employer brand and recruitment marketing functions within complex, multinational organizations, including oversight across APAC and European markets.
Proven ability to design and evolve enterprise programs that influence business strategy, including university relations and early career talent initiatives.
Deep expertise in marketing analytics and investment management, with a track record of delivering measurable ROI across paid, earned, and owned media channels.
Strong technical fluency across talent marketing platforms, including CRM, ATS, CMS, and marketing automation technologies.
Experience operating within life sciences, healthcare, or similarly regulated global industries.

$174,500.00 - $274,230.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
