The Head of FX Platforms and Product Strategy, MD will report directly to senior Markets leadership. You will define and execute the FX product strategy and lead the FX product management agenda, translating strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and delivered outcomes in partnership with business, technology, risk, and corporate functions.

What you will be responsible for

  • As a Managing Director, Head of FX Platforms and Product Strategy, you will: · Lead the development and execution of FX product strategy in partnership with Markets Strategy and FX business heads, aligned to growth targets and corporate priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize product and growth opportunities (new products, enhancements, market/geographic expansion).
  • Translate strategy into clear product roadmaps and investment cases, supported by well-structured business cases (feasibility, operating model impact, resources, risk, and return).
  • Own the FX product lifecycle from ideation trough delivery, commercialization, and post-implementation review, ensuring consistent product governance and outcomes.
  • Assess and design target-state FX operating models, workflows, and infrastructure to support scale, resilience, and future growth.
  • Act as senior business owner and sponsor for FX product and technology initiatives, ensuring disciplined execution, transparent tracking, and timely escalation.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Controls, and Corporate Governance to ensure regulatory alignment, change management adherence, and robust risk identification/mitigation prior to implementation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing FX Product Strategy and Product Management organization, embedding accountability, effective challenge, and risk excellence.

  • Extensive experience in the Foreign Exchange business line, with deep knowledge of FX products, markets, and operating models.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities, build investment cases, and optimize resources to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Proven leadership and delivery track record across complex, cross-functional programs, including influencing and managing resources outside of direct reporting lines (particularly technology delivery).

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Significant experience in FX product strategy, product management, and/or markets infrastructure delivery, with senior leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within strong risk, compliance, and governance frameworks in a regulated financial institution.
  • Strong strategic communication skills, including ability to produce client-facing materials that articulate product vision, strategy, and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus. Additional requirements Financial aptitude, including ability to formulate, understand, and manage budgets, and to measure delivery against revenue, expense, and risk excellence objectives.

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
