1)       Reporting and analysis

Ability to produce, analyze, interpret and communicate timely accurate financial information to monitor performance and support decision-making

 

·       Lead the performance rhythm of the business: budgeting, rolling forecasts, dynamic reforecasting, and KPIs aligned to strategy.

·       Establish insight‑rich KPI frameworks (growth, mix, pricing, customer/channel economics, cost‑to‑serve).

·       Deliver decision‑grade analytics and predictive insights (scenario modeling, stress‑testing, sensitivity analysis).

·       Challenge and shape strategy and resource allocation (A&P ROI, trade terms, route‑to‑market).

·       Narrate performance with clear storylines to ExCom/Management Entity/Group; convert data to action and accountability.

 

2)     Financial accounting and consolidation

Ability to generate and provide timely, accurate and auditable accounting records and financial statements in compliance with both statutory and Group standards

 

·       Ensure accurate, timely, and auditable books and consolidated financial statements (IFRS/compliant with Group and statutory Vietnam Accounting Standards).

·       Recommend best‑fit accounting treatments for complex transactions; maintain robust close governance.

·       Own the external audit cycle (planning to sign‑off), ensuring data integrity, compliance, and zero surprises. Manage the relationship with external auditors.

·       Translate business activity into clear financial narratives and disclosures.

 


 

3)     Tax management, Tax Strategy and fiscal regulatory & legal compliance

Ability to manage tax matters (transfer prices, taxes & duties, corporate tax, tax accounting and filing) to optimize their financial and operational impact. Ability to co-lead legal matters and the compliance agenda to analyze and consider their financial and operational impacts to the business.

 

·       Optimize group tax posture (transfer pricing, corporate tax, duties) in line with risk appetite and regulatory change while ensuring proactive planning and optimizing the dual model with Pernod Ricard VNSW and Pernod Ricard VN.

·       Manage tax audits and litigation; implement defensible structures and documentation.

·       Drive tax planning to enhance cash and earnings quality.

·       Monitors tax environment changes, understands their implications and makes recommendations accordingly

·       Develop risk mapping and execute a three lines of defense approach; define control towers for key processes.

·       Set internal control policies to ensure compliance, asset security, and system reliability.

·       Propose risk‑based audit plans and remediation roadmaps; communicate conclusions with clarity and influence.

·       Evaluates the impact of law / regulatory changes for the company

 

4)     Risk management control and internal control

Ability to identify and evaluate Business Risks, design and implement appropriate risk-mitigation plan. Ability to design, implement and review controls to ensure compliance with external regulations/internal policies, reliability of financial information, and security of assets, whilst maintaining business efficiency.

 

·       Designs risk mapping and establish a global risk management and internal control strategy

·       Proposes appropriate audit plans, internal control mechanics to protect the organization and the employees

·       Anticipates evolutions of business risks likely to impact the affiliate / group with strong relationship with legal teams

·       Defines internal control policies to ensure compliance with external regulations, internal requirements, and reliability of financial information and systems

·       Communicates and defends audit conclusions and actions plans to top management and other stakeholders

 

5)      Cash management and Financing

Ability to forecast and analyze cash flows and drive cash generation in the business

Ability to manage financial partners relationships (banks, suppliers, auditors, advisors…) and to optimize business unit’s funding and liquidity position.

 

·       Lead cash culture and cash conversion cycle optimization (CCC, DSO/DPO/DIO, working capital).

·       Define funding strategy and liquidity positions across the fiscal cycle; manage banking relationships and treasury policy (FX, interest, counterparty risk).

·       Challenge strategic choices through a cash and value creation lens; enforce opex/capex discipline and NPV/IRR rigor for investment decisions

 

6)     Processes and information systems

Ability to proactively support the implementation and utilization of business processes and related information systems, to drive change, improve business efficiency and support data-based-decision making.

 

·       Champion ERP/EPM/BI modernization, data governance, and single source of truth for performance

·       Leverage automation (RPA) and advanced analytics/AI for faster close, exception‑based controls, and smart planning.

 


 

7)      Business acumen

Ability to view and understand the business from a holistic perspective, be a strong, resilient and seasoned business partner for peers and the top management.

 

·       Lead and contribute actively to the development of the company plan and be an autonomous, seasoned business partner

·       Participates actively in discussions with senior management to identify key company drivers & stakes

·       Is a key source of information for management on business opportunities risks and develop actionable plans to navigate in a VUCA environment

·       Challenges current strategy to find new sources of revenue and bring more value to the business

·       Balances and bridges well between long term targets and short-term constraints

 

8)     Project and Change Management

Ability to plan, monitor and deliver projects and cross-functional change management in line with objectives.

 

·       Develop project charters, PMO governance, KPIs, and benefits tracking for mission‑critical initiatives.

·       Lead cross‑functional squads; manage timeline, forecasts, risk, and stakeholder buy‑in with crisp, frequent communication with strong ability to summarize complex topics and distill the relevant points

·       Anticipate business impacts; deliver clean handoffs to run‑state with adoption metrics.

 

9)      Relationship building and communication

Ability to build, nurture and leverage quality and trusting relationships paired with strong ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

 

·       Build a trusted advisor position with senior leaders, Management Entity, and Group.

·       Exercise constructive challenge and courageous candor while maintaining strong quality relationships.

·       Cultivate an external network (banks, suppliers, advisors) to amplify optionality and speed to decision.

·       Develops a network of influential contacts (e.g.: senior people in vendors, other companies, …)
