Britomart, Auckland | Senior Leadership Role 

 
At Westpac, we’re seeking a Head of Finance to partner with the Consumer Bank & Wealth leadership team and shape strong, sustainable commercial outcomes. 

 

This is a senior role with real influence, combining strategic financial leadership with a collaborative, peoplefocused approach. As a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you’ll deliver clear financial insight, support confident decisionmaking, and lead a highperforming finance team in an environment that values inclusion, balance, and purpose. 

 

Key Responsibilities include:  

  • You’ll partner with senior leaders to drive commercial and financial outcomes 

  • Provide clear, timely financial analysis and insights across the business 

  • Translate complex performance data into practical, actionable advice 

  • Oversee forecasting, target setting, and financial governance 

  • Present confidently to executive audiences, enabling strong decisionmaking 

  • Lead, coach, and grow a capable and engaged finance team

We’re interested in experienced finance leaders who bring both strength and perspective to the table. 

You’ll bring:   

  • Seniorlevel partnering experience in a complex, performancedriven environment 

  • Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to influence at executive level 

  • The ability to communicate financial insights clearly to diverse audiences 

  • Solid understanding of banking metrics, revenue and funds transfer pricing 

  • Experience leading and developing highperforming teams 

  • CA (or equivalent) with significant banking experience
