Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to manage the Reinsurance Casualty Portfolio for all geographies under the purview of GCC&NA Cluster
This role will be responsible for Profit and Sales for the Casualty division focused on Commercial General Liability, Workers Compensation / Employers Liability, Defense Base Act, Commercial Auto, Product Recall and Environment Impairment Liability. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for oversight of underwriting staff, portfolio management, building and enhancing broker and insured relationships, training & developing current underwriting teams, hiring additional staff, maintaining profitability and development/execution of successful business plan.

3.Job Accountabilities
Portfolio Management
•
Ownership of Casualty Reinsurance P&L. This includes taking correctivemeasures on GOE, NLI and acquisition costs wherever required.
•
Ensure adherence to Casualty Underwriting Guidelines as set forth by the ChiefUnderwriting Office.
•
Ensure all relevant tools such as but not limited to Duck-Creek or equivalentraters, local rating guidelines and all other guidelines set locally in support ofunderwriting strategy are strictly followed
•
Responsible for maintaining a profitability portfolio of all Casualty linesincluding but not limited to CGL, WC/EL, DBA, Commercial Auto, ProductRecall and Environment Impairment Liability.

Responsible for working with the Chief Underwriting office to develop localstrategies which may deviate from global strategies
Retention and New Business Development
•
Maintain strong broker/client relationships.
•
Generate new business from existing producers and up-sell current accounts.
•
Ensure account retention rates are maintained as per company/department norms

Product and Technology
• Review / refresh existing products on 18/24-month cycle
• Innovation and development of new products or offerings on 18/24-month cycle
• Ensure the use of technology mainly for high volume, small ticket policies. Bring
in efficiency to existing processes by using the available technologies
Team Management
• Provide all possible support and guidance to the team for both personal and
professional development. Including but not limited to technical development,
confidence building, strategies and direction, clear communication etc.
• Ensure team performance is in line with Company / Department norms
• Ensure that the team achieves individual and company objectives
