About your team
CFO is a global function at Fidelity International, with over 400 dedicated employees, and offices across multiple locations including UK, Bermuda, India and China. The role of the function is to empower the business with clarity, challenge, and financial leadership so that every decision drives enterprise value. We do this through supporting the development of Fidelity International business at both the strategic and the management level, partnering to shape short, medium and long term plans and driving transparency and accountability to ensure the achievement of business goals.
About your role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Planning and Central Finance, you will work closely with the CFO and the CFO leadership team to transform the function, driving cultural change, leading key initiatives, and owning ongoing business management activities. This role will ensure the effective operation of the function, and act as a catalyst for change across the CFO organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the CFO, Head of Strategy, Planning and Central Finance and the CFO SLT in setting the strategic direction, ensuring the vision and goals are clearly defined and effectively communicated.
- Lead the CFO communications and engagement strategy, aligning messaging with organisational goals and driving engagement across CFO and globally.
- Own and drive the continuous improvement strategy for CFO, embedding a problem-solving mindset and culture.
- Actively contribute to the CFO Feel Heard working group, supporting initiatives that build a more engaged and inclusive team.
- Manage the operating rhythm of CFO, anticipating and resolving issues to ensure smooth and effective operations. This includes:
- Planning and organising content for Webchats, Town Halls, Offsites, and Leadership Meetings.
- Overseeing seamless day-to-day administrative operations with the PA to the CFO.
- Coordinating across CFO to enhance and automate operational processes where possible.
- Provide strategic support to the to the function and lead strategic projects as required.
- Partner across the enterprise (ETS, HR, Corporate Communications) to ensure CFO strategic initiatives are understood and supported for effective implementation.
- Manage and support the CFO PA community, ensuring consistency, collaboration, and high-quality support.
About you
- Demonstrates the highest levels of personal integrity, professionalism, and accountability, consistently role-modelling the values and behaviours expected across CFO.
- Proven ability to influence and build trust at the most senior levels of a global organisation.
- Experience in strategic planning, execution, and leading cultural change initiatives that foster learning, inclusion, and performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and approach across diverse audiences, geographies, and cultures.
- Comfortable operating across both long-term strategic priorities and complex, detail-oriented operational challenges.
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset, with a proactive approach and the resilience to navigate ambiguity and deliver in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience working across matrixed organisations and partnering with functions such as HR, Technology, Communications, and Change to drive strategic outcomes.
- Experience contributing to or leading initiatives that build diverse and inclusive teams.
