An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Employer Brand and Attraction to join the Team in Derby.
As Head of Employer Brand and Attraction, you will lead the development and execution of a world-class employer branding strategy that enhances our reputation as an employer of choice. You’ll define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for how we attract, engage, and retain top talent globally — aligning closely with our company’s business goals and culture.
This role requires strategic leadership, creative thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our employer brand is compelling, authentic, and effectively communicated across all channels.
What you will be doing:
Employer Brand Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement a global employer branding strategy that aligns with our company values, culture, and long-term business objectives.
- Partner with People Leadership team, Talent Acquisition delivery, Marketing, and Communications teams to shape and promote a consistent employer brand across all touchpoints.
- Act as the company’s employer brand ambassador, ensuring an authentic and differentiated employer value proposition (EVP) is reflected in our messaging and talent attraction efforts.
Talent Attraction & Candidate Experience
- Lead the development of engaging recruitment marketing campaigns to attract top talent across diverse regions and job functions.
- Oversee the execution of employer brand storytelling through digital content, social media, careers websites, and employee advocacy programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an outstanding candidate experience, from the first touchpoint through to onboarding.
Brand Positioning & Content Development
- Lead content strategy development for employer branding, including employee stories, thought leadership, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Work with internal and external creative teams to produce high-quality videos, blogs, social media content, and career site enhancements.
- Ensure all employer brand communications are data-driven, inclusive, and aligned with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) goals.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Own and optimise our social media employer branding strategy across LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Instagram, and other key platforms.
- Develop an employee advocacy program to amplify authentic voices and increase organic reach.
- Monitor employer reputation on review sites and implement strategies to enhance company perception.
Data, Insights & Performance Metrics
- Establish and track key KPIs to measure employer brand success, including candidate engagement, brand perception, and recruitment conversion rates.
- Use data and insights to optimise campaigns and improve performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies in employer branding.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Own and manage the employer branding budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in brand awareness and talent attraction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external marketing agencies, job boards, media partners, and branding vendors to maximise ROI.
- Ensure effective governance, measurement, and accountability for third-party brand-related activities.
Internal Alignment & Employee Engagement
- Work closely with internal communications teams to ensure employees are engaged and aligned with the company’s employer brand.
- Develop initiatives to strengthen employee advocacy, recognition programs, and internal brand engagement.
- Support global HR teams in aligning employer brand strategies with local market needs and cultural differences.
Preferred requirements:
- Proven experience leading employer branding and talent attraction initiatives in a global organisation.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with candidates.
- Deep understanding of social media, digital marketing, and recruitment marketing best practices.
- Experience with performance analytics, data-driven decision-making, and campaign optimisation.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Passion for employer branding, talent marketing, and creating exceptional candidate experiences.
